This year marked the big 6-0 for Jim and next year for Linda. So, the siblings all collaborated and decided to make it extra special since we were all going to be together. After numerous discussions, it was decided to host a private dinner party at a lodge in town. It was catered by the neighboring restaurant and we brought up the dessert from a specialty cake shop in Colorado. Melissa did an amazing job on the table and decorations. Jim and Linda were very surprised and we all had a lovely evening celebrating the past 60 years.
The girls and Rob slipped out of the house to "go to the store" while Gavin and Ayden handed these beautiful invitations (handmade by Melissa) to Jim and Linda. They then had an hour to arrive to the address provided. We, meanwhile, were working like crazy trying to transform the room into a silver and gold vision.
The table was truly stunning.
The centerpiece was a gold tree with family pictures from past to present.
Each menu was printed on different gold and silver patterned paper.
All the hard work paid off in an elegant dinner party. These girls have some serious creative talent!
It was a relaxing evening enjoying one another's company without the hassle of cooking and cleaning.
