Halloween

Halloween is always a wonderful time of year. Everyone was more than excited, so we put up the decorations a week early this year. We had a lovely Fall and were hoping for another warmish Halloween but got 8 inches of snow a few days before instead.
The kids jumped right into carving this year. They all had their own ideas and designs. Ayden used a stencil this year.

Raegan- making use of our little home grown pumpkins

Aislin

This year was early and unwavering commitment to costumes.
Aislin wanted to be a fairy.

Raegan a ballerina

Gavin a Soviet Soldier

We made a visit to Goodwill for the coat and sash and Patrick provided the patches and buttons from a coat he found in Mongolia.

Ayden a unicorn

We hosted Ayden's friends for her annual pre-trick-or-treating party.
We had all the Halloween treats:

Caramel apples

Pumpkin bread

Witch Hats

Eyeballs, popcorn, and orange soda

Darci, Ayden, Hailey, Addy, Tessa, Kaitlyn, and Brynne
(Now that I'm in YW and over these lovely ladies, it's even better having them in my home. They are a fun group)

The girls all decided to wear animal onsies- cute and practical for the cold weather.

Brynne, the flying squirrel

Due to the coldness, a costume change had to be made for the girls to last out trick-or-treating. They wore their costumes to school and the ward party, so they weren't too sad to be warm in the bone jams Nana sent.

The candy haul this year was insane.

So. Much. Candy.
