Soccer Wrap Up and some Singing

It was another great soccer season this year. Raegan's team was once again undefeated, even in the higher division. She really grasped and got confident in her position as left-mid and gave it her all at every game. The other teams always put their biggest girl to defend her but somehow Raegan always finds a way to get through. She is so fun to watch!

She's number 18. What a great pass to the center!

She was so close to a goal but she stuck with it and got it back in the box!

Gavin's team continued to improve throughout the season. He got a new coach this season, who moved Gavin to left back. Gavin has really liked his new coach and has had some other awesome opportunities this season. He has been practicing with Olympico (higher team) once a week which he absolutely loves. The team invited him to join them for their tournament in Vegas this Spring. And then he was invited to YTS/Futures, an 8 week training on Mondays, to practice with the top players in the club and guest coaches. Gavin made noticeable improvements during this training with the higher level of play and coaching. It made for a busy Fall as Gavin was basically practicing with 3 different soccer teams at the same time, but he kept up with it all and got all his school work done.

Gavin is fast and aggressive and keeps with it (just like Raegan).

Gav keeps after it and finally gets it down field and they score!

Gavin does most of the throw ins.

Once soccer season ended, the kids started private lessons with one of the coaches from Gavin's YTS training, Coach King. He is the epitome of an amazing coach. He knows his stuff, knows how to communicate it, knows how to get results, and knows how to motivate. He has been incredible identifying what each kid needs and addressing their weaknesses while praising their strengths. Hopefully, the kids will feel better prepared for next season and Ayden will be ready for high school tryouts in the Spring.
Here he is taking them through a series of drills, building on one another, to improve their shooting.

The kids sang in a musical number during the Primary Program. It was Gavin's last program and he was not sad about it.

Gavin took a personality test at school and the results were not shocking.
56% Analytical- enjoys technical problem solving and complex concepts: absolutely.
9% Structural- not too high on the "enjoys direction": ain't that the truth.
