The next morning, we took a morning walk up the road from where Geraldine and Allen live to the Golden and Silver Falls. It was a beautiful forest with all kinds of trees, mosses, creeks, and critters.
A dragonfly landed on Aislin's hand.
Golden Falls
Then we climbed up boulders to the waterfall on the other side of the mountain cliff.
Silver Falls
Bottom of Silver Falls
Then we walked on an old road built in 1901 to get wagons full of large logs from the mountains down into the valley that was blasted out of the side of the cliffs at the top of Golden Falls, where there used to be a wooden bridge crossing. Amazing view; awfully scary if driving a wagon.
Top of Golden Falls- wooden bridge long gone.
Not bad for a morning walk.
