Aislin- Four Months (and other updates)

Man, this girl is growing sooo fast! At her four month appointment, Aislin weighed in at 14 lbs which gets her back up to the 50% where she started. She measured 24.75 in long (70%), making her our tallest child and her head was 16.25 (75%) which is typical for our kids. She's developed some serious rolls and quite the cheeks. Aislin is getting better at being a human: she is crying quite a bit less and likes to play on the floor and under her gym for finite periods of time. She can grasp things and everything goes straight to the mouth. She is easy to smile and the kids love to make her laugh. But when she gets upset, she screams bloody murder and doesn't ever lose steam. We've moved to feeding every 4 hours which frees up some time. She still isn't great at drinking out of a bottle. She must have a small mouth because the milk leaks out all over the place and she still has difficulties keeping a binkie in her mouth. She is getting better with the routine. She usually takes at least two 45 minute naps a day with a cat nap in the evening. Sometimes she even takes a 1.5 hour nap. We are still working on it. We are also still working on nights. But at least we haven't had any all nigthters in a while. She continues to spit up a lot but it's decreased in frequency. There have definitely been some challenges with this one, which I was not expecting with baby #4, but we are taking baby steps in the right direction.

And although it's been a lot about baby around here, there have been some big changes for the big kids as well. Right after Christmas, we potty trained Raegan, which went pretty well. She had a hang up on poop in the potty for the first week, but she never had an accident and she doesn't even want my help. She just goes when she needs to and that is that. I'm not even worried about her. I still have to remind Gavin to go potty.

Raegan also started primary! She was sad to leave nursery since she was definitely the queen of the castle there, but she loves being a big kid now. Last week she told me nursery was for babies who poop in diapers. How quickly things change...
