The House II

starting where we left off in the last post...
the last color coat of stucco is completed.

In June, the house exploded with progress and excitement! As the finishing touches were being installed, a house turned into our home. Our personality came to life in the house.

Stair railings installed.

The extra wide, extended 4 inch dog ear on the window sill installed and ready for Dad's trim work.

Laundry tile

J&J bath tile

and tub surround

Raegan's bath tile

Master bath tile

Master shower

Cabinets installed

Fireplace stone and mantel

Painted Colonnade Grey

Tile grouted and trim painted

Tub being installed

On my birthday, we picked out the Bianco Antico granite slabs for the kitchen.
We loved the unique squares of white.

Finishing up the exterior stone

Loving a little space from the neighbor in these tightly packed Colorado neighborhoods.

Flooring! Now it really feels like home.

Sneak peak of the hand scraped maple hardwood under the paper.

Appliances and granite installed

Cleaned and ready to move in!

A few last finishing touches and it's finally done!

Thankfully the closing went smoothly and we closed on time...well let's be honest, it was 95 days after we were supposed to close but we saw that coming so we were prepared. Building this house was quite the roller coaster. But I enjoyed being involved in the process of making our first house our forever home.
