Raegan is 8 months old! Feels like I just wrote her 7 month post a few days ago. This has been a great month for Raegan. She has been sleeping like a dream. I hardly ever get up in the night anymore and she naps 2-3 hours twice a day. I lay her down totally awake, she can find her own binkie in bed, and she can put herself back to sleep. Life is good!
She is gobbling up all her baby food and I've given her a few table food items to try although she has trouble gumming them. She did get her first bottom tooth at the end of this month. Thankfully, like my other kids, it seemed pretty uneventful. She is still a drooling queen.
She's been trying to crawl all month long and a few days after her 8 month bday, she actually did it! Hopefully, this new mobility will allow her to be less frustrated since she can go where she wants to go, meaning less crying. She's gotten a bit more needy lately.
She also has started what we call the "octopus hands" this past month. Ayden did the exact same thing where she wiggles her fingers and rolls her wrists around when she gets excited. I'd forgotten all about it until she did it and it suddenly came back to me. This has gotten her a new nickname: Squiggly Pete.
She continues to babble and talk more and more and loves to copy sounds. She's still tiny but has definitely grown out of her 0-3 clothes and is into 3-6 months with the sleeves rolled. Her hair is coming in more and is pretty light colored. She loves watching people, touching and reaching for everything in sight, and being held. She is definitely our precious babes.

We call this the Nephi. She often wakes up with one arm out of the jams.
Up until about this month, Raegan has slept on her back with her head turned extremely, all the way to the left. She's done that since she was born. I'd lay her down and her head would immediately assume that position. But now she is all over the crib and sleeping with her cute bum in the air.
Feeding Raegan can be challenging because she gets distracted easily. She is less interested in eating and more in what's happening around her. Who knew eating carrots was such an emotional journey!
Although my nursing days are coming to an end, it's so sweet looking down and seeing this staring back at me.
