Barber Beach Trip 2023

In preparation for the beach trip, Aislin took swimming lessons. I had helped her in the pool last year and she did really well but after a week of swim lessons, she was all set.

We returned to the same beach house as last year in Panama City Beach on 30A. We had to fly in to Atlanta and drive down so we didn't arrive until late but the next morning we hit the beach!

The first day the waves were big so the kids had a blast boogie boarding.

The adults played rounds of CanJam.

There was a sand bar a little ways out covered in sand dollars.

Dad brought a metal detector and the boys enjoyed searching for treasures...or soda cans.

We walked down the beach where the river met the ocean and all the iron deposits turn the water red.

Cora and Buggy cleaning up the cool whip.

We all went deep sea fishing one morning. Gavin had been wanting to fish for a very long time so he was extra excited.

He caught quite a few fish!

It was very exciting!

Everyone caught a fish!

Aislin was all tired out.

It was Raegan's 9th birthday while we were at the beach. She asked for a carrot cake. It was so hot there, the icing kept melting but it was still good.

George getting buried.

All the cousins lined up for the sand castle contest.

Garrett kept working on his castle long after the contest was over.

We took the fish we caught and this restaurant cooked it up for us.

It was also Anistyn's sweet 16th birthday!

By the end of the week, the water was back to clear, emerald glass.

Aislin turned into a fish at the beach!

It was a great week with all the cousins!
