The end of the school year always brings with it many musical showcases. This was Gavin's first year with Ann and therefore, he participated in Festival for the first time. He was not super enthused to memorize both songs but he nailed it. He was entered at the Intermediate level. He scored perfect 5's on both his pieces.

Ayden was moved up to Early Advanced level and that was a huge leap. Her songs were difficult and long. She made a few mistakes but scored well over all.

Raegan has made great strides this year practicing on her own, with minimal help. She's gotten better at sight reading and getting less frustrated. She puts in the extra work to pass her songs off on time. I think this coming year will be her last with Laurel.

Ayden has been putting in extra time this year trying to take her violin to the next level. Not only did she make First Chair but Mrs. Sharp made her the mentor to the 6th graders as well. She auditioned for the Douglas County Honors Orchestra and made Second Chair, first violin. Her efforts were again rewarded at the concert being awarded Outstanding Musician.
