I love Fall and all it encompasses. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Low stress, maximum fun. The kids have a blast and it's a joy watching them dress up, create and carve pumpkins, and run around the neighborhood.
Our Autumn Blaze maple shines in the Fall.
All 3 girls have worn this costume for Halloween.
The girls got to dress up for dance class and put on a show.
I always volunteer for the kids' Halloween parties at school. This year, I did Raegan's class party.
Ayden's friends dressed up as M&Ms at the Trunk-or-Treat.
We carved our own home grown pumpkins this year which had surprisingly less guts and were easier to carve.
Raegan the cowgirl.
Aislin the witch.
Gavin the mummy.
Ayden the blue M&M.
Gavin's barfing pumpkin.
Raegan's smirking pumpkin.
Ayden's ghost pumpkin.
Aislin's skeleton pumpkin.
It was a cold one so Patrick wore his Mongolian garb and the coats went on. Aislin ended up coming back early because her hands were freezing.
Ayden trick-or-treated with her friends.
Always a good haul in our neighborhood.
Side Note:
When we got back from Moab earlier in the month, we all came down with covid. The kids mostly recovered in a few days with only mild symptoms. Poor Buggy broke out in hives for 2 days. Patrick had a mild cough but like most respiratory illness, I went down hard. The body aches were insane and the fever long. My cough was deep and lasted weeks. The worst of it lasted about 3 weeks and then took even longer for the fatigue to fully go away. I lost my sense of taste and smell about a week in. Things literally tasted like nothing. It was a rough go. I think it was Delta. But glad to have the immunity. Unfortunately, Jim and Linda came down with covid at the same time and were also quite sick. Melissa ended up going to Wyoming to help them recover. And also at the same time, Patrick's receptionist also got it and had to be hospitalized, so basically every one important in Patrick's life were down and out with covid. It was a stressful time for us all.
Update: my smell and taste started to return at the 6 month mark and slowly increased over time but there are still things over a year later that still aren't the same.
