Life Is Good

It's been busy since school started and isn't slowing down.
We attended the Fall neighborhood party and grabbed some pumpkins.

My vision of the new front steps is now complete with mums and pumpkins. The front of the house has reached its potential!

Soccer season coming to an end and it was cold!

But we warmed up by the fire, enjoying our new backyard and smores.

Ayden never stopped running for the entire 45 minutes of the Digger Dash and won 1st place for her grade. That was a total of 5 miles (9 minute mile). AND she also won for the best class name- she's been campaigning for Speedy Apples for 4 years now. Double win!

Gavin never stopped running for the entire 30 minutes of the Digger Dash and won 1st place for his grade. He ran 3 miles (10 minute mile). These kids set out to win and I have never seen such determination. I am so proud of them for setting and reaching their goal!

Parent/teacher conferences went well this year as usual.
Ayden is reading at an upper 5th grade level and in the top spelling group. Her teacher praised her writing skills and her work ethic.
Gavin was nominated by his teacher for the gifted program and did amazing on his test. His math skills are off the charts. He's doing math with 5th graders and is reading at a 3rd grade level.
Raegan absolutely loves preschool and has mastered her name in lower case letters. She is half way through reading the Bob books with me. Her teacher says she's always first to use her manners and is filling up her sticker chart at lightening speed.

We went on a field trip with Raegan's preschool to a farm.

Gavin lost his front tooth. Daddy pulled it in the middle of Lowes. Gav was super brave.

And Aislin got sick and cuddled with Momma which never happens.

And she stayed sick. For 2 months.

After a month of fits, tantrums, throwing the sippy cup- she finally started drinking it- in her own way. The transition to cows milk was horrendous.

The kids and I headed over to Utah for a visit and celebrated Andrea's birthday.

Zach did a funny scavenger hunt involving a weird looking man.

Ice cream was a stop along the way.

Raegan is really getting into drawing. She did this after our Florida trip.

I mean, this is some seriously good coloring for a 4 year old!
Not to mention her penmanship.

And then I just happened to find this drawing on the art station desk. Raegan found a drawing of Ayden's and obviously tried to copy it. She even spelled the name (but backwards). Pretty good, I'd say.

And then there is always a performance.
