Gavin has been looking forward to his fourth birthday for awhile now. The kids are now able to anticipate their birthdays which makes it that much more fun. He was most excited about moving into a booster seat and his train cake. He sat in the kitchen basically the entire day as I worked on the cake oohing and ahhing, which made the 6 hours worth it.
Gavin is such an energetic, fun, funny, smart, and cuddly boy. He adds so much enthusiasm, laughter, and love to our family. We love our sweet boy!
It was a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting topped with a chocolate ganache. Gavin wanted a Thomas and Friends cake so this was my take on Thomas. Four cupcake cars as the friends and every train needs a red caboose. The round engine portion was cake baked in a bean can, oreos for wheels, and the smoke is popcorn strung on a wire. It turned out to be a fun cake and most importantly, Gavin liked it!
Dave and Erinn moved here to Parker just last weekend and joined us for the party. Dave's birthday is actually the day before, so we lit the candles again for him!
As always, thanks for the family love and support. Gavin is a lucky boy!
M&M pancakes for breakfast.
Big boy in the booster.
And as a side note, at his 4 year old check up, he got 3 shots and didn't even cry. He said "It hurts, but I'm brave." He had the Dr. and all the nurses cracking up. He is 38.5 inches tall (15%) and weighs 35 lbs (50%) and is the cutest boy 100%!
