Grandma's Funeral

Grandma Barber passed away in December at the age of 95. She was blessed with the health and ability to live in her New York home until the age of 93, when she then moved down to Tallahassee where Mom and Dad could provide extra care. The funeral was held in January and was a wonderful family reunion and celebration of Grandma's life.
This is a childhood photo recreated on the steps of Grandma's home. After the funeral, we drove around town and walked down memory lane with Dad. Despite being there for the funeral, it ended up being a unique and quite exceptional weekend, reliving childhood memories now as adults. And as always, it's great being together as family.

Eating at Sharky's, a Barber favorite: speedies.

Dad far left.

We siblings had the opportunity to sing at the funeral. It was an amazing experience and touched us all.
