Raegan- Seven Months

There have been big changes this month for Raegan! She is up on her hand and knees and rocking away. She hasn't quite figured out how to move her arms and legs in sync but she definitely is trying to get movin'. She is able to sit pretty well on her own though not enough to be left unattended. She is gobbling up all her fruits and veggies and the Dr. gave us the go ahead to add some protein. All the solid foods have helped her gain back some weight and at her 7 month appointment she was back on the charts again weighing 13lb 1oz (3%) and 24 3/4 inches (5%) and head still in the 50%. The Dr. seemed very pleased with her progress and she is also right on track with her other age appropriate milestones despite her size. The Dr. even said she has the verbal skills of a 9 month old. The biggest improvement this month was her sleep! About half way through the month she had a few nights in a row where she slept all night. So I figured she could do it and never looked back. It only took a few nights for her to figure out there were no mid night snacks anymore and she's been sleeping through since. Her naps have also dramatically improved. I'm no longer going in the help her back to sleep at the 45 min mark. She is learning how to put herself back to sleep. Having two solid 2 hour naps and a full nights sleep has changed our lives. A well rested Raegan is the sweetest babes. A tired Raegs, is non stop screaming misery. An hour can make all the difference. She and I are much happier and life is much easier with sleep.

Guess my 7 month old is no longer a newborn!

Some of her 0-3 month clothes are getting a bit snug, so I tried to move her up to 3-6 month jams. Guess they were a bit too big.

She's also learned how to blow spit bubbles, which she finds very amusing. I, however, do not, especially when her mouth is full of peas.
