The first official sign of the Christmas season is when the Peppermint Chip milkshake arrives at Chick-fil-A. It's Ayden's absolute favorite and so I made a special delivery to her school.
The girls stopped by to see Santa. The other two observed from afar.
Mom and Dad came into town early this year and so we hit up the Giving Machine and drove around looking at lights to get into the spirit. It was a fun evening!
There was a house near by that was on a TV show because of their insane light display. It was quite the line but quite the sight!
And as always with this time of year, comes lots of recitals and concerts. The older kids had both their orchestra concerts the same week.
Gavin started cello this year in 6th grade orchestra. He is enjoying it and plays quite well. I was pleasantly surprised at how well their orchestra sounds for only playing for a few months.
The day after this concert, Ayden's orchestra director asked her to move up to the audition orchestra: Chamber. She deserved to be there all along and we are all glad he recognized her abilities. She was very happy about that and we were all very thankful!
