The Digger Dash run at school has become one of the most anticipated events of the school year for the kids. Over the years it has been increasingly important and now crucial, to win the most laps completed. Aislin was up for the challenge and was instructed on all the strategies for her first Digger Dash run.
She stayed on the inside and never stopped running. No walking or water allowed!
It's always fun watching the kids push themselves and accomplish their goal. This year Dad happened to be in town for a quick dental appointment, so he got to watch the kids run.
Aislin got 16 laps!
Raegan was up next. Her competitive nature really wanted to win.
She just kept running- a super steady pace.
Raegan ran 32 laps!
Gavin's class was up last and they ran for a long time.
Nothing was going to keep Gavin from winning. When his classmates started getting tired, Gavin pushed through! Gavin ran 49 laps and even ran out of room on his counting sticker!
It was a Reilly sweep for the win for all 3 kids! The winners got to spray the Principal with silly string in the school assembly and took home the bragging rights of course.
