May Mayhem

May is always madness. So many activities.
Aislin did such a great job with preschool and finished all the Bob book series. She mastered writing her letters and numbers and can count and write to 20. She learned how to write her name and is working on spelling other words. She completed her preschool and kindergarten workbooks. She always was excited for school time but she is definitely ready to be in big girl school with friends. Even though she has the latest birthday and will be the youngest, I think she is the most ready to start school.

In fourth grade, the kids' school participate in Ameritowne where they apply for jobs and work in the community to learn about finance and economics. Gavin campaigned and ran to be the Mayor of the town and he won! He had to give a speech in front of the fourth grade (which he nailed) and then his job was to run Ameritowne. He absolutely loved it!

This was his Mayor office.

Gavin also auditioned for the school talent show and got accepted. He played in two separate showings to all the kids at Gold Rush.

Matthew, Aislin's friend, had a birthday and invited she and Cora to the Denver Zoo.
They had such a great time together.

The end of the year recital for Raegan and Gavin. Gavin played the same piece from the talent show.

Raegan was on a great soccer team this year. Her coaches are the same as Gavin coaches (their daughter is on the team). This was her last year in rec and she will have tryouts for Junior Academy in a few weeks. She's small but mighty and doesn't hesitate to get in there.

Gavin also had an incredible soccer season. Many players on his team have played together for years (Gav has been on this team for 5 years) and so they performed really well this year. But he now moves from JA to Competitive, so I imagine there will be some changes come next year to the team.

After our first peach tree died in a hard freeze last year, we quickly planted 2 more. Last year, they didn't produce anything but this year, the trees doubled in size and grew some peaches! We can't wait till the end of summer to taste them!
