The long awaited moment finally arrived when the peaches were ripe and ready to pick. We picked up this Red Haven tree for cheap at the end of the year sale last year, with low expectations. Gavin really took a liking to the tree and tended to it all summer. It grew 4 peaches this year, but 2 were knocked off in the numerous hail storms this summer. The other 2 were the most delicious and juicy peaches ever.
This year was Raegan's first Digger Dash and she ran her little heart out. I was super impressed with her endurance and motivation. She got so close to winning but missed it by 2 laps. All her classmates are a head taller than her so her little legs had to move fast. I can't believe she did so well.
Gavin also never stopped running and took home the win!
Ayden had to run for 45 minutes but she kept going and came home with the silver medal.
Birthdays are a celebration for everyone around here and the kids were very excited for Aislin's 2nd birthday.
I've been wanting to try this maple cake with maple SMBC and strudel. I love the way it looks but was disappointed in the taste. Too dry, kinda bland.
Aislin is an interesting mix of all the kids personalities. She has Ayden's independence where she wants to be a big girl, doing everything by herself. She is full of Gavin's energy and loves to be silly and laugh. And she has quite a pleasant and generally obedient personality like Raegan, as long as she can do it the way she wants. She continues to be fought over by the kids and has Daddy wrapped around her finger. She loves to read, dance, sing, dress up, color, and anything else her older siblings are doing. She knows what she wants and talks a lot. She's pretty great.
And here comes the terrible two tantrums right on que.
The girls decided they wanted their ears pierced. Raegan was so brave she went first. No tears shed!
New Fall outfit.
Raegan has become quite the artist. She watches drawing tutorials on You Tube.
Gavin finished up his first year of club soccer with an undefeated team!
He happened to make the winning goal of the last game with only seconds left!
It was amazing!
Another Fall, another neighborhood party and pumpkins.
Bone jams from Nana officially make Fall complete.
